Pieces of information that you find from either the DCF or through one of your agents are not validated or stored. This means that once it disappears from the information flow on your dashboard you might not know how to find it again. By validating the information you are keeping it safe for future reference and use. In addition you can then edit the information, add comments to it, share it with your coworkers and / or publish it in a newsletter, report, shared dashboard or watchlist.

There are two ways to access the validation page from a dashboard.
1. Click on the title of the piece of information.
This will take you to a page where you can read the whole article. At the top of this page you will see this bar.
Click on validate this alert. You will go to the validation page.
2. Hover the cursor over the alert. A menu will appear. Click on:
- edit and save: this will open the validation page
- save: this will validate information using one-click validation. Follow this link to find out more.
The Validation Page
Both of these actions will take you to the validation page. Here you will see your information and some other details concerning it that Digimind has automatically generated for you.
At the top of the page you can edit the title and the main body of the text. It is possible to delete images and remove as much of the text as you would like. On the right hand side you can click to select the folder or folders into which you would like to store the information.
If you have associated tags with your projects you will also be able to apply tags to the information. To find out more about tags, follow this link.
At the bottom of this first page you will see "Show advanced options". Click on this to see, modify and add tags and other details about your piece of information. These tags and details will help you select sets of information for publication in newsletters, reports, shared dashboards, etc. You can find more information about the advanced fields in this article.
You can also leave personal comments, read the automatic summary Digimind has generated from the article and add include attached documents.
Then click on save and the information will then be stored in the Digimind platform, ready to be shared and utilised.
