When adding a source to an agent, you are telling Digimind to regularly monitor the feeds or the page with the URL that you specify. Once you have added it to your agent, Digimind will start checking it for changes.
When adding a source to the URL Store you are giving Digimind the details of that source so that you can subsequently include it in agents more quickly.
During this process, you need to tag it so that it so that it is included in the categories where it will be the most useful. Then, you will be able to create packs of sources, using the tags under which you indexed the new source(s), and add them to your agents. It is only at this point that the source that you have added to the URL Store will start to be monitored by your agent.
The advantage of using the URL Store is that your sources will be regularly checked by to make sure that there are no dead links. It is also a centralized way to add sources to your agents, which means that if a source has to be modified or changed, you will need to do it only once in the URL store and all your agents using it will be automatically updated.
You can add RSS feeds or webnews feeds to the URL store. If you want to monitor the social media, or you want only to track the changes that may occur on a specific page, you should use Smart Tracker.
