Lists for Agents and Folders
Digimind Intelligence lets you work with lists of queries to prepare filters, create tags and generate analysis on a dashboard. To find out more about working with lists of queries, you can read this post.
You can also run analysis to compare the output of monitoring agents or the amount of information stored in particular folders in your projects. This may help you to understand how these monitoring agents or projects are functioning.
To do this you need to set up a list of agents or folders. It is not possible to create a list that contains one entity for agents and another for folders or queries. All the entities on a list must be of the same type.
Create a list of agents
When preparing an entity in a list, use the drop-down menu to switch from queries (the default setting) to agents list. You will then see a list of your monitoring agents appear. Use the check boxes to select those you would like to include in this entity of the list.
Create a list of folders
When setting up an entity in a list, use the drop-down menu to switch from queries (the default setting) to folders list. A list of your folders will appear. Use the check boxes to select those you want to include in this entity.
Use your list to create a graph on the dashboard
On a dashboard, click to add an analysis, and select an analysis for which you need a list, for example:
- bar chart
- pie chart
- multi-line graph
- matrix chart
- treemap
- variations
In this example, I will create a bar chart to show the quantity of information stored in the folders on my list of folders.
The first step is to choose the right list:
Then I need to switch the data base I am using from the Digimind Content Factory to Validated Information:
When I click on OK, I will see the information stored in each of the folders:
In this example, I will generate a multi-line graph, based on my list of agents:
Take this further
Lists of agents and folders can be used to track the quantities of alerts or stored information, as in the examples above.
They can also be combined with other lists, to get further and more interesting insights.
For example, I can cross one list with another in a matrix. Below, I have used my list of folders, crossed with a list of comany names. This shows me how the major players in this field are present in the subject areas that matter most:
