Building a Team
Your team members will have different roles, and so you will need to assign them different user rights on the platform.
Some users will be connecting only to consult, browse through and benefit from the information that others have stored on Digimind Intelligence. Other users will be working to set up collection and monitoring systems, and adding information to projects.
One of the first steps is to identify which kind of access you need to grant to a particular user.
User Roles in Digimind Intelligence
There are four types of user in the platform: administrator, animator, tracker and reader.
Add a New User
You need to be an administrator on your Digimind Intelligence platform in order to be able to do this.
Go into the settings of DI:
Then click to open the administration panel:
This will open on the page of users, and you can see and manage all the existing users on your platform.
To add a new user, click on add user in the top left:
This will open the profile page of the user:

The user will be asked to change the password on the first connection.
The email address will be used to send newsletters, Watchlists and other notifications from Digimind to this user.
Select the role for the user. Digimind Intelligence will then complete the rest of the user details automatically (data collection and info management). You may need to check you have enough licenses for each of the sections.
On the following pages, you will see a number for each type of right. This shows how many licenses you have left.
In this case for example, I have 2 remaining licenses for Webpage trackind and 8 for webnews.

This page lets you set rights for setting up and using monitoring and search within Digimind Intelligence. For users with reader access, this page will be blank.

Finder is an optional feature of Digimind Intelligence. You may find you are working on a platform without this.
URL Store animators are able to manage My Tags inside the URL Store.
On the next page, info management, you specify how a user can treat or work with the information inside Digimind.

All users need to have access to Project Manager and Evolution.
Profile Manager is an optional feature of Digimind Intelligence.
There are two options on this page that are now obsolete, but we are keeping them for the small number of clients starting working with us before they were replace. These two options do not need to be selected: D7 Portal and Analyzer.
Share with the New Users
The final step is to share monitoring agents, projects and dashboards with the user.
You first need to click to save the user:
Then, when you reopen the user, you will see a new tab on the user details: share.
When you click to open this, you will be able to share monitoring agents, projects and dashboards.
