Why would I want to do this?
Using the Top Theme feature of the online reputation option it is possible to identify the most popular search queries for a given topic over a certain period of time. In this way, you can spot key search terms and then use the Digimind platform to track changes in the results displayed in search engines for these terms. This will let you see the information that your stakeholders will receive about your brand or company when they conduct a search. This could be interesting during crisis management or to keep an eye on sensitive topics.
How do I do this?
Inside your agent, go to advanced configuration, and choose to add a web page with area tracker.
This will take you to a page where you need to add a URL:
The basic URL for Google searches is:
After this you can add the keywords you would like to track.
Then click on next to see the results page.
Here you can choose the area you would like to track.
When you have chosen the area to monitor, click on validate (top right corner).
You will now see this feed in your agent.
What will I get from my agent?
Back on the dashboard in a new portlet, the search page will be displayed. I will be able to click on it and open it to see the changes in search results from one day to another.
In addition, I can click on the links in the search page results and open the articles.
