Different Needs and Different Ways to Monitor
There are different ways to monitor Facebook and the choice you make will depend on what it is you'd like to know.
The table below will help you make your decision.
|I'd like to:||I should monitor Facebook by:|
|know what is being said about my brand or company on Facebook.||tracking media type and search engine|
|see what my competitor is saying about their products on their Facebook page.||tracking an individual Facebook account by adding it in the custom sources section of my monitoring|
Using keywords to track Facebook will generate alerts every time your keywords are mentioned on the public pages of Facebook. You can combine this with a query inside your Digimind agent if you need. You can find more details by following this link.
Tracking A Facebook Account
You can track a Facebook page which will allow you to see any new posts and comments on that account. If necessary you can use a query in your Digimind agent, which will limit the alerts to only those that include the words in your query. For more information, follow this link.
If you have the Engagement option on your Digimind you will also be able to generate an analysis called Influencer. For more details on this, follow this link. Specifically for Facebook, you will be able to see who is talking about your topic the most, and how many Facebook "likes" there are for the page. This link gives more details for Influencer and Facebook.
