Forums
Forums are internet sites where people can hold discussions by posting and replying to messages.
A thread, or discussion, is started when one user posts a question. Other users can reply to this, add their own thoughts or just simple read what others have said.
There are some very specialized forums, dealing with topics like health problems, mobile phones, internet games, and many other topics.
Tracking forums can help you, for example:
- understand more precisely the types of difficulties consumers have with your products
- identify common problems with service providers
- spot gaps in the market
- etc
Set Up Forums
If you already have some forums on your Digimind database you will be able to go to the next step.To add some forums to your Digimind, you will need to get in touch with our technical team. This is a paying service and they will be able to work out the cost, depending on the number of forums you would like to add.
Track Forums with a monitoring
Inside a monitoring, open up the advanced configuration:
Then, towards the bottom of the next page, you will see the forums section.
Click on add a forum source:
On the next page you will see:
Give your source a name that reflects the content you will put in it. This name will be visible on the agent page.
Select the forums you would like to add.
Click on next.
You will then see a page where you can select which categories of the forum or forums you would like to monitor:
When you click on next you will see the page that asks you for a query:
Complete the query. You can use AND, OR and NOT.
Back on your monitoring, you will now see your forum source:
