Digimind Profiles allow you to store information in a structured manner, making it easier to benchmark profiles against each other. Some of the information contained on a profile sheet is automatically updated from the DCF, or other online sources. This article explains how to keep up to date with changes to the profiles and the news surrounding the companies or brands you have chosen to profile by displaying the profiles directly onto a dashboard. To find out more about profiles look at this section of the Help and Training Center.
After you have created a profile (read this to find out how to create a profile sheet) you can display it on a personal or shared dashboard.
To do this, open the tab options by clicking on the arrow by the name of the tab, and then select add profiles.
In the next window, you will see:
Use the Title field to give a title to the portlet on the dashboard.
Use the Content field to select between listings or updates:
Updates will display any changes to the profile sheet and listings will display information from the profile sheet itself.
Use the Profiles field to select the type of profile to display.
The advanced options
- for profile updates allow you to select how many profiles you would like to include on the dashboard and the time period for any changes.
- for profile listings let you select the profile type and the parts of the profile to include.
Add a Profile Updates Portlet
I will then see:
When I click on the title of the profile (in red) a new window will open and I will be able to read the profile in full.
In this example, the company profile type was selected. I can also see the changes made to the profile in red.
Add a Profiles Listings Portlet
When I click on the advanced options, a wizard opens. This will help me select what I would like to display.
In the first step, I can search for keywords.
On the second step I can select the profiles to include in the display one by one.
The final step lets me choose the parts of the profile listing to include in the display. Drag and drop the elements from the left of the window to the right.
After I click on "finish" at the bottom, I will be able to see the profile listings on the dashboard:
When I click on the name of the profile, in the far left column, the profile will open and I will be able to read it in full.
