Profile Manager and Clinical Trials
Digimind's Profile Manager provides a very easy way to keep an eye on developments in clinical trials. The latest information on the progression of the clinical study is automatically updated, including the recruitment dates, the investigators, publications, etc.
In order to benefit from this you need to have the Profile Manager Clinical Trials option of Digimind active on your platform. Profile Manager is a paying option of Digimind. To find out more about this, please contact your Digimind Consultant.
Set Up a New Profile for a Clinical Trial
NCT numbers
The first step is to identify the NCT number for the trial you are interested in tracking. The NCT (national clinical trial) number is assigned to the trial at the start and then follows the trial through the different phases.
Go to the Clinical Trials site (click here to vist the site) and use the search box to locate the trial you would like to track:

I can see the NCT number in the second column (NCT01917474). I need to copy this number.
Create a Clinical Trial Profile
Inside Profile Manager, click on the profile types "clinical trials" and then click to create a new profile:
This will open a new profile sheet for a clinical trial. I need to paste the NCT number into the box NCT ID:
Then I click on save at the top left of the page.
Consulting the Profile
When I open this profile sheet now, I will be able to see all the details from this trial:
In addition, when any changes are made to the information on ClinicalTrials.gov, the Digimind Clinical Trial Profile sheet will be automatically updated.
