Search in the information you have stored in a Digimind Project or Folder
The search functions of Digimind can be used to find information from a variety of places, including information that you or one of your colleagues has already dealt with and stored in a folder or project.
This can be useful for a number of reasons:
- sharing specific details contained in an article with another person
- seeing what you already know about a certain subject
- getting your hands on something interesting you remember reading
To do this, write the keyword or keywords in which you are interested into the search box at the top of Digimind. Then use the drop down menu to select validated information.
You will then see the search results containing your keyword or keywords from your validated information. For example in this search for the keyword "samsung" we get back:
Filter results to get to what you need
If you are working with a Digimind platform that has the Engagement option, you will then be able to use the filters on the right side of the page to refine the results.
Advanced Search Options:Specify where to look
When you click on the "advanced" button you will open up another way to filter your results - the advanced options for search in validated information:
At the top of the page, you are able to select the projects and folders that you would like to search in. Check the boxes for the projects you would like to include.
In the second box, you can specify a time period to limit the search results.
Advanced Search Options: Look into any attached files
In the third box, you can limit your search to certain parts of the validated information. This may be useful for example if I would like to have only articles that contain the keyword media in the title, or in the comments people validating the information have left behind, or in any attached files. For example, if I limit my search to "media" in attached files like this:
I will get a back of results that looks like this:
Then if I click on the title of the attachment (in blue) I will open the file. If I click on the title of the information as it was validated and stored in Digimind (in grey), I will be taken to the information in Digimind, where I will also be able to open the attachment.
Advanced Search Options: Importance and Reliability
Further down the page of advanced options for search in validated information, I can see:
These options will allow me to limit the search results to information that has been tagged with either a level of importance or a level of reliability at the moment it was validated.
