If you want something done, ask a busy agent to do it.
Digimind agents are busy little souls:
- they go looking for new information posted onto the many sources you have listed for them
- they check these sources against the query you've given them
- they display the new information in portlets on a dashboard
And they can, if you ask them to, send you a mail informing you of what they have found.
Activating Push Mail
When you create an agent, you will see in the advanced fields a box "add this agent to your push mail".
Then, open your settings (click on settings in the top right corner of the platform) and then in the second tab, email alerts, you will see:
Check "enable email alerts" to see the other two choices. If you choose to open the advanced fields you can specify from which agents and / or folders you would like to receive push mail.
In order to see the full list of either your agents or your folders you first have to have checked the box to receive alerts from agents and / or folders.
But I'm not getting any push mails!
The first thing to check is that your agents are really bringing back alerts for you. If there are no alerts then there will be no push mails.
If your agent is generating alerts and you are not receiving any push mails, then check with our R&D department that the push mail is being correctly sent to you.
And lastly, you may need to check with your DSI that there are no firewalls preventing you from receiving the mails.
