Analysis on Validated Information
From February 10th 2015 there will be two ways of analysing the information you have validated or stored into a Digimind project:
- using analysis on a dashboard
- using analysis from inside My Reader - new feature released February 10th 2015

Analysis from My Reader
Inside the My Reader interface, click on the button Analysis to reveal the possibilities.
There are four analysis, based on the four key questions of:
- What: the major concepts and keywords in the information
- When: the timeline of the news stories
- Who: the sources used to collect this information
- How: the sentiments expressed
What
Click on What to show the key concepts:
The 40 concepts the most often cited are shown.
The size and colour of the tag indicates how often this concept has been used. There are four degrees:
Hovering over a concept in the What analysis will reveal the number of pieces of information that contain this concept:
Clicking on a concept, will show all the information that contains this concept:
When
The When analysis shows the time line for this set of stored information, based on the publication date or the date on which the information was posted onto the internet.
The numbers at the top indicate the following:
total | the total pieces of information posted in this time period |
average | the average number posted by day |
minimum | the minimum number of posted stories in this time period |
maximum |
the maximum number of posted stories in this time period |
It is possible to change the time period for the analysis using the box at the top left of the screen:
Good to know:
The frequency of the graph will automatically adjust depending on the length of time chosen. In this case, the period was over four months and so the frequency was set at by month.
Clicking on the frenquency at the top will allow me to change this.
The possibility to change the When graph from update date to either creation date or publication date will be available in a future release.
Who
The Who analysis presents the sources you have used to collect your information from:

We used infromation from AlexaRank and GoogleRank. Users can modifying the ranking of a source during the validation process. |

The information in the table can be sorted. Click on the arrows at the top to change the view:
Sorted by Score:
It is possible to change the number of lines in the influencers table. Click on the step button in the top right of the screen and then select the number of lines you would like to see:
Clicking on the name of the source domain will reveal all the information from that influencer:
How
The how analysis indicates the sentiment contained in the information:
Digimind automatically calculates the sentiment based on our algorithms.
If you are working on a Digimind base that has the engagement option, you will be able to:
- select the sentiment you would like to assign to a piece of information during the validation process
- change the sentiment at a later date
