The URL Store
The URL Store is a unique feature of Digimind. It allows you to quickly generate packs of sources, which you can then add to an agent. For more information on the URL Store, please follow this link.
Upload your own sources into the URL Store
Given that there are nearly 80 thousands sources already listed in the URL Store (and this number is constantly increasing), you will on most occassions find that the sources you need are already available for you. However, from time to time, you may come across a source that you would like to add.
In order to do this, you need to have access rights to the URL Store as an animator. You will need to contact your Digimind Administrator or your Digimind Consultant if this is not the case for you today.
Once inside the URL Store, click on the cog at the top, between the preview news button and the URL Store search box. URL Store animators will have the option to upload sources, edit sources and manage my tags:
Click on "Upload sources", this will open a new page:
Add one source at a time to the URL Store
Enter the URL of the source you would like to include in the store. It will then be available to all our users, not only those working on your Digimind platform.
Then click on OK. You will see a new page:
I can see that this source is not already in the URL Store and also that this source is acceptable to be uploaded into the store (Status).
To add public tags to the source, check the box by the source's name and then click on "Edit". This will open a windon in which you can select the public tags using the drop down menus.
Click on "Add all these sources" to include them in the URL Store to see the success message:
You can now add My Company Tags to this source to create your own personlized packs of sources inside the URL Store. For more information on My Company Tags, follow this link.
Add multiple sources to the URL Store
Inside the upload sources page, you will need to click to down load the template:
This will give you an excel chart, which you can use to include the details about the sources. Use the filters at the top of the excel page to specifiy the language, country, sector, etc of this source. The first line is an example, so you will need to delete or work over this:
Once you have prepared the excel chart, back inside the URL Store add sources page, click on "browse" to find the file you would like to upload. You will then be able to follow the same steps as outlined above for adding a single source.
I can't see my sources and my tags in the URL Store.
- The URL Store is indexed every 20 minutes. You may need to wait 19 minutes and 59 seconds to see your new sources and tags in the URL Store. You may be lucky and see them almost immediately.
My source is marked with an OK Status, but I'm not getting any news back.
- The URL Store works for RSS feeds and webnews only. In addition, webnews feeds that contain pdf documents will not generate alerts. For this type of source you will need to use advanced configuration to track the new information. For example:
