Uploading Sources to the URL Store
It is possible to add your own sources to the URL Store, and also apply your own company tags to these. To find out more about doing this, please follow this link.
KO
A source that is considered to be KO is really not OK for the URL Store. KO stands for Knocked Out.
You may see this after you have uploaded a source into the store.
There are three possible reasons why a URL will be identified as KO.
Not exactly the right URL for an RSS feed
When tracking RSS feeds in an agent, Digimind is able to pick up links to RSS feeds from a webpage. This means that you do not necessarily need to have the exact URL for the RSS feed.
For the URL Store, Digimind needs to have the exact URL for that RSS feed.
Take this example from the Royal Statistics Society (RSS) and their page on Statslife:
http://www.statslife.org.uk/news
When I put this URL into an agent, Digimind tells me there is an RSS feed. But when I put it into the URL Store, I get the KO message.
I need to find the exact URL for the RSS feed, which is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Statslife-AllTheLatestStatisticsNews
The exact RSS URL is usually hidden behind the RSS logo, so click on this will help you to find the URL you need for the URL Store.
Not exactly Webnews format
Some pages look like they are in webnews format, but in fact they need to be configured in a different way. A good example of this is news you have found behind a search form (read this for more). This kind of source needs to be configured with advanced configuration, and so can't go into the URL Store.
Not exactly up to date
The final reason why sources will be considered KO is that no news has been published on them for the last 30 days.
