The display options for validated information on a dashboard allow you to select the information by a system of tags and by a series of content management criteria.
These two features, used alone or in combination, give you the possibility to fine-tune what readers of a shared dashboard will see. On your own personal dashboard, you can customize the presentation of information, ensuring that the facts, insights and opinions you need are always at your fingertips.
When setting up a portlet on a dashboard, combining and overlapping tags means you can display information with great flexibility. Without tags, a portlet for validated information can be configured to display information coming from one or more folders. It is not possible to use a query or filters to restrict the information displayed.
Tags greatly change this. In addition to selecting to display information at a folder level, users can now filter the information from these folders using a single tag or a combination or tags. As well as the list of tags that you create for your own needs, you will be able to apply the standard Digimind tags which cover the following themes: source ranking, source type, information importance, information reliability, information comments, workflow status and workflow priority. To find out more about tags please follow this link.
In addition to this, you can use the content management display options. These allow you to display information sorted not only by the date on which it was validated, but also the number of times the information has been read and by the number of comments made. As a result, directly from your dashboard you can see which pieces of information have been most consulted by your team, enabling you to adapt your CI project to meet their needs.
On a dashboard, when you create a portlet displaying validated information you will see two clickable links: advanced options and filter.
Inside the advanced options you will be able to select to display the information in different manners:
Clicking on filters will allow you to select the information you would like to display, using the tag feature of Digimind. Choose the tags to apply from the filters on the left-hand side of the window. When you are happy with your choice click on "apply configuration" at the bottom of the window.
You will then see the validated information and the tags on the dashboard:
