Sharing and Exporting Profiles
Once you have created some profile sheets, you will almost certainly want to share them with other people. There are a number of ways you can do this.
- Run a benchmark and export as a PDF.
- Display the profiles on a shared dashboard with other Digimind Intelligence users.
- Export the profile sheets in excel, PDFor RTF format.
Benchmark Profile Sheets
You can benchmark up to 5 profile sheets of the same type at a time.
First click to select the profiles you would like to include in the benchmark, and then click on benchmark at the top:
This will take you to the benchmark view:
If you would like to customize the view before creating a pdf, click on the customize button at the top:
A bar at the side will open, as you click to select or deselect parts of the profile sheets you will automatically see the changes in the benchmark view:
When you have prepared the view you would like to export, click on PDF at the top to create a PDF document of this view:
Display Profiles on a Dashboard
Inside the editing box of a dashboard, click to add a profiles protlet:
In the portlet that opens you will be able to give a title to your portlet (this will display at the top of the portlet).
You can also select to see the profile's updates (a list of which profiles have most recently been modified) or profiles listing (the contents of your profile sheets).
You can also select a profile type on this page, or use the advanced options.
In this case I would like to display some information from a set of profile sheets on museums:
In the lightbox that opens, the search box at the top will help me find profiles based on the information in their contents. Click on "next step":
Select the profiles you would like to display (you can select as many as you would like) and then click on "next step". Drag and drop the parts of the profile sheets you would like to display:
Then click on finish to see the profiles on the dashboard:
Helpful Hints: Profiles on Dashboards
Profile listings are more visually appealing when created on a dashboard with two columns and if they contain images:
Any users who have access to the dashboard on which you display profiles will be able to click on a profile on the dashboard and open the full profile:
Export Profile Sheets
In addition to working with profile sheets inside Digimind you can also export them out of the platform.
Inside the Profile view, select one or more profiles, and then use the more actions button to select export:
You are then asked to select which parts of the profile you would like to include in your export:
On the next page you will be able to preview the contents of the fields you have selected. Select the profiles to include in the export, and then use the export button to select which format you prefer:
